Mrs. Harper became principal of GFES in January 2016. Prior to becoming principal, she taught 3rd and 4th grade, served as an Advanced Academic Resource teacher and an Assistant Principal.
Mrs. Harper grew up in Greenwood, Indiana before moving to Kentucky to attend the University of Kentucky (go Cats!). She earned her M.A. from Columbia University’s Teacher’s College and her M.A.Ed from George Mason University.
Mrs. Harper enjoys spending time with her 3 children, her husband, and her dog Blue. When not at school, her favorite things to do are to read, experiment with new recipes, and spend time with her family.
Dr. Litz became assistant principal of GFES in July of 2017. Prior to becoming the assistant principal, he taught 1st and 4th grade, served as a Physical Education teacher and was a Summer School Principal.
Dr. Litz grew up in Bel Air, Maryland and attended Goucher College in Towson, Maryland where he earned his Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. Dr. Litz then earned his Master’s, Educational Specialist, and Doctorate from Old Dominion University.
Dr. Litz enjoys spending time with his son Max, his wife, and their cat Barnie. When not at school, his favorite things to do are to exercise, watch the Baltimore Ravens, and spend time with his family.
