The fourth-grade classrooms buzzed with excitement as News4 meteorologist Jessica Faith visited our school! Not only did she bring her infectious enthusiasm for weather, but she also shared invaluable insights into the world of meteorology and the importance of STEM skills.

From the moment she walked in, Ms. Faith had the students captivated. She explained the science behind weather patterns, breaking down complex concepts like air pressure and temperature in a way that was easy for our fourth graders to grasp. She even showed them some cool weather maps and explained how she uses them to create her forecasts.

But perhaps the most impactful part of Ms. Faith's visit was her emphasis on the importance of math and science. She explained how meteorology relies heavily on these subjects, from calculating wind speed and direction to understanding complex climate models.

Ms. Faith's visit was more than just a fun break from the school day; it was an inspiring glimpse into the world of STEM and a powerful reminder of the importance of hard work and dedication. Our fourth graders left the classrooms with a renewed appreciation for weather and a spark of interest in pursuing careers in science and technology. A huge thank you to Ms. Faith for sharing her time and expertise with our students!
