Congratulations to Principal Michelle Pierce who was recognized at the annual FCPS Honors event as the 2019 Region 1 Outstanding Elementary Teacher and one of five finalists for this year's Outstanding Elementary Teacher Award!

In her short time at Great Falls Elementary School, Ms. Pierce has led the way to making the multiple disabilities program, a safe and happy classroom of eight students. She has a big heart for her students and always reminds them that they are special to her and that they are loved for who they are. Ms. Pierce says that it’s the little things that her students say or do that keep her coming back to the classroom every year! Ms. Pierce also cares about her teacher assistants. She often reminds them that she could not do her job without them and gives them credit for the many activities they develop and the support they give to all the students!
